Please read the following conditions carefully as bookings are accepted only in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below.
A deposit of €600 per person is required upon making a reservation. If you are booking a customized tour then 30% of the total tour cost is due as the deposit. Once you have received your receipt for your deposit your reservation is considered confirmed. The balance of the tour price must be paid 2 calendar months before the scheduled start. If booking 2 calendar months or less from the scheduled start, payment must be made in full.
If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so in writing. You will then be subject to the following cancellation charges. Cancellations received more than 56 days before departure will be assessed a penalty equal to the deposit per person. Cancellations received 56-31 days prior to departure will be assessed a penalty equal to 50% of the total cost per person. Cancellations received within 30 days of departure are subject to 100 % cancellation penalties. If you do not pay the balance of the cost of the holiday 2 calendar months before departure Peten Tourism Ltd reserves the right to cancel your booking. When a refund is payable there will be an administrative fee of €45 charged per person.
Insurance & Health / Fitness
It is a requirement of the booking that you have comprehensive holiday and travel insurance coverage including out of country medical coverage. You must be fit and well to take part in these tours. They involve a significant amount of walking and some scrambling over rough terrain on archaeological sites. It is the responsibility of the individual tour members to decide whether they are medically fit and able to undertake these tours.
Changes Or Cancellations
Peten Tourism Ltd will make every effort to operate the specially arranged tours according to the itineraries described in the catalogue. However, it reserves the right to alter any arrangement of the tour should it become necessary or advisable, without penalty. If there are fewer than 6 passengers booked on a tour with less than 6 weeks to go before departure, Peten Tourism Ltd reserves the right to cancel any booking with a full refund. Peten Tourism Ltd does not accept responsibility for cancellation or changes in the tour for reasons beyond its control, such as (but not limited to) terrorist activities, civil unrest, closure of airports, technical problems with transport, adverse weather conditions, strikes, and all similar events whether these events are threatened or actual. Care and diligence have been exercised in the making of these tour arrangements, but Peten Tourism Limited can not be held responsible for a failure of sub-contracted ancillary services.
Peten Tourism Ltd reserves the right to increase the price of a tour in the event of any increase in such costs as transportation and fuel, fees, taxes, or exchange rates. If this results in an increase of more than 15% of the holiday price you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all monies paid. The price of the holiday will not change 30 days or less prior to departure.
Flights – Your Freedom Of Choice
All Peten trips begin and end at the appropriate local airport, allowing our guests the freedom to:
- Use air miles or frequent flyer points for a free flight or an upgrade.
- Choose one of the new low-cost scheduled airlines.
- Take advantage of the convenience of regional airports.
- Arrive independently from the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia etc.
Peten Tourism Ltd has no connection with any airline and suggests making flight your own reservations.
Peten Tourism Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or irregularity arising from negligence by any third party or the negligence of its customers. Because the airline travel component of your trip is not paid to us, repatriation will not be provided.
Any complaints must be reported immediately within 24 hours to the Tour Leader who will do everything possible to resolve the matter.
